Bamban Tarlac Pogo Raid

Raids on POGO Compounds Reveal Extensive Operations

Investigation into Tarlac and Bamban Hubs Ongoing

Significant Cash Confiscations and Arrests Made

In a major development, a POGO compound comprising 36 buildings in Tarlac was raided by a joint team led by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC). The Senate has also resumed its investigation into the raided POGO hub, with Bamban Mayor Alice Guo among those facing scrutiny.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin directed the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to investigate the financial transactions related to the raided POGOs. The latest haul brings the total cash confiscated from POGO raids to over P7 million.

The raids have resulted in the arrest of up to 851 workers, including 351 foreigners. The arrests bring to light the extensive operations of POGOs in the Philippines and raise concerns about their potential involvement in illegal activities.
